Class Descriptions

NEW! Prenatal Yoga: This speciality class is for all expecting moms.  A safe and nurturing environment to build physical and mental strength and bring awareness to your mind body and spirit.  Cost: $10/class; contact Amy Gates for more information 691-7409.

Cadio Funk:  This fun, high-energy dance workout will make you sweat while learning the latest moves around. The movements will appeal to both new dancers and hip hop junkies.

Cardio Circuit: This INTERVAL TRAINING  class is a challenging workout designed to give you both cardio and strength training.  Get ready for a high energy total body workout.  Good class for all fitness levels.

Dance & Strength – One hour class starts with a warm-up and stretch, then on to 35 minutes of easy  and  fun choreographed aerobic routines to popular music.  The class ends with 15 minutes of strength training and a final relaxation stretch.

F.A.S.T. – (Functional Agility Strength Training)  Take power sculpting to the next level.  You will love this workout that includes multiple strength and toning techniques using barbells and hand weights.  This is one of our most popular workouts for the busy individual.  All levels welcome.  

STRONG - A revolutionary new way to strength train using adjustable barbell weights. This class will sculpt and shape you from head to toe.   This class targets all of your major muscle groups.  Sign-up is required. (For all levels)

YOGA - Mix of strong, energetic movements that flow from one posture to the next. It targets every major portion of the body using power yoga poses and stretches. It is designed to heat the body internally to build strength, increase cardiovascular endurance, and calm the mind.  Take it at your own pace, great for all levels.

Yoga Plus – This is a yoga class mixed with a little pilates, strength and core conditioning.  May use small weights, bands, or fitness balls.

MAT PILATES – Pilates is a total mind-body workout that focuses on training your “core” or “powerhouse”. Exercises are done on a mat. 

PILATES PLUS - A rigorous no-impact class that combines the techniques & principals of mat Pilates, power yoga, & balance training.  We incorporate mats, balls, bands and mini-weights.

YOGALATE'S - The combination of Yoga & Pilates for a invigorating all body workout and mind/body connection. (45 minutes)

SPINNING - Based on the sport of outdoor cycling; this is a class on a special stationary bike that simulates riding hills, flats, and rolling terrain.  Be prepared to sweat and have fun.  You’ve heard about these classes, space is limited, so please sign-up at the front desk and you must arrive 5 minutes early.  *Sign-up required two days in advance.

Spinning/Strong– Be Warned…This class is intense; it includes cardio on the Spinner and then strength training with the use of barbells, benches, balls, tubing, and your own body weight.  Expect a little something different every time!  Great for all levels. 

TURBO KICKBOXING This is the hottest exercise class around! Sure, it’s kickboxing, but it’s so much more! You’ll kick, punch and groove the calories away in this action-packed, super fun, super safe and effective cardiovascular workout.

STEP INTERVAL - Provides cardiovascular and muscle conditioning in one. Strength training and step choreography add to this intensive all body workout.

WATER AEROBICS – Provides an all-over workout without impact on your joints.  Working against the resistance of the water helps you achieve muscle strength and tone, as well as aerobic endurance.

Meditation – A half hour meditation for all levels.  See instructor for details.

*PILATES REFORMER –Not your typical gym workout!  Connect mind & body in this semi-private class(4 max).
